My dad grew up in Clifton, New Jersey. He was always working with his hands in the earth and said it had healing powers. When I was in 2nd grade he was diagnosed with a chemical imbalance. We thought he was going to die, but he pulled through for the love of his family. He was very strong to have done so and I look up to him for that. He painted in the basement with no sunlight, only artificial light but always seemed to create a masterpiece. He went to school at Maryland Institute College of Art in Baltimore. His career as a Creative Director brought him across the U.S. He would draw the storyboards for commercials for Chevy and Jeep, then go on location and work with the director to make sure his vision was being filmed as accurately as possible. When he came home from his day job he would paint before going to sleep and then wake up in the morning and paint before going to work.
